Building for the Next Generation

For the past few years, we’ve been watching God do something special here at GEM. What started as two weeks of summer day camps on our family property has grown into something bigger—and we’re ready for the next step.

Right now, when it rains during a youth retreat, we’re scrambling. When temperatures drop, we’re limited to summer programming. And as more churches and families want to experience what God is doing here, we need facilities that can serve them well year-round.

We’re building in two phases:

Phase One: Foundation for Year-Round Ministry

• Indoor gathering space where youth groups can worship, learn, and grow together regardless of weather

• Permanent restrooms (because porta-potties are nobody’s favorite part of camp!)

• Kitchen and serving area for meal-based programming

Phase Two: Overnight Capacity

• Bunkhouse accommodations for multi-day retreats and overnight camps

• Expanded ministry reach to serve students from across Ohio

With these facilities, we can move beyond summer-only day camps to host weekend retreats, school break programs, and overnight experiences that give students extended time to encounter Jesus, build lasting friendships, and discover their calling.

This is a multi-year vision that will require significant community investment. We’re working with builders now and will finalize architectural plans as we raise funds. Every gift—whether it’s your first or your fiftieth—moves us closer to creating space where the next generation meets Jesus.
